Hey!
Racing season is getting closer and were sitting in anticipation wanting to spend every Friday and Saturday night racing.
But as always you have to work before you can play. We are going to be having some workdays to get ready for the outlaw race and the regular season. Everything will be posted on the web page.
As you all know we held are banquet a little later in the year so that Levi Jones could be our guest speaker. Levi Gave his speech which everyone enjoyed, and he also stayed and presented the awards to the drivers, which was great! The club would like to thank him and his family for being a part of our 2005 awards Banquet.
I would also like to personally thank everyone who sponsored the trophies and awards.

Editor’s Note: My apologies to Toni for not getting the picture for her driver profile of Lucas Owens in last month.
I am re-running the profile, along with the photo, as per Toni’s request in this issue.
Also, I owe an apology to Derrick Sinks for not having his name listed in the “On the Cover” section. of last months issue.
Truly the cover photo for last month was Derrick and not Jake!!
I have made the correction on the Pit Stop website and hope that helps to make up for my gross error!!
Driver Profile
Lucas Owen #18
Lucas Owen is 18 years old and his parents are Guy and Shannon Owen; all from McLeansboro IL.
Lucas attends school at Hamilton County High School this being his Senior year. He plans on going on to
college at Rend Lake for 2 years and then moving on to Perdue for 2 years.
His goals are to be successful in architectural technology, but he says it would be nice to be a race car driver.
Lucas loves to hunt, fish and tinker with his car also in his past time he takes his girl friend, Christina to the movies. His favorite movies are U.S. Marshals & Twister.
I asked him what his favorite food was and he had to think hard about it and said grilled chicken. I figured it would be pizza.
Lucas has no brothers or sisters, but does have a French beagle named Cherokee.
He has been racing for 5 years and started racing because his dad was into super cross in Germany and Vegas, so sprints were the next best thing. Lucas drove a B car and now is in a Brodrix Chassis with an R6 engine, and was his 1st year in the A Class. He has finished in the top 20 three years in a row and for the year 2005 he's finished 5th in the region, 19th in the nation 1st in club points for here at Wayne County Speedway and 7th at SIR.
Lucas says he wants to thank his Dad & Mom for supporting him and also his girl friend Christina Uselton which supports me some but gets really tired by the end of the year. Without you all it would have not been possible!
He also want to thank all of his Sponsors:
B&B Auto Body
Coating Application & Water Proofing
Tom's Food Park
Kenny Shreve Ford
Fast Lane Graphics
Also Thanks to Brodrick, Terry and David for your help through out the season it was Greatly Appreciated.
